Linen & Oak was founded by Michelle, an interior designer drawn to creating timeless, thoughtful spaces, and Guy, a carpenter whose work is guided by a respect for traditional craft and a spirit of contemporary innovation. Together, they bring design and making into balance - creating spaces across the UK and beyond that feel beautiful, enduring, and at ease in their setting.

What began with interiors has naturally evolved into furniture and homeware that share the same philosophy: pieces shaped by thoughtful design and meticulous making, created to bring a sense of calm and longevity to the modern home.

With years of experience designing and creating interiors alongside designing bespoke cabinetry and furniture for clients, we understand what makes a home feel truly balanced and comfortable. In many ways, we are our own client – every piece we design is something we would want to live with ourselves.

For us, the choice to work with local materials isn’t just practical - it’s part of our philosophy. Every piece of timber, fabric, or stone carries with it a story of place. By sourcing close to home, we honour those stories and keep our work connected to the landscapes and communities that inspire it.

Local materials bring a kind of integrity you can feel. They reduce the distance between maker and material, and they remind us that good design doesn’t have to travel far to be meaningful. Whether it’s oak from nearby woodlands or textiles woven in British mills, these choices add depth and character to the finished piece.
